On Tuesday September 7th (Sandbach Town Hall, 7.45 for 8.00 pm) Edward Hilditch will return to share another section of his grandfather’s (Ernest Wakefield) diaries for 1935-39 dealing with economic recovery at Foden’s and international tensions before WW2.

On Tuesday October 5th (Nantwich Museum, 1.45 for 2pm) there will be an afternoon visit to Nantwich Museum with an option to include a guided walk around Nantwich. Numbers will be limited and a list will be available to sign up at the September meeting.  The Society will pay for entry to the museum and refreshments for members.  Visitors will need to pay £5.50.

On Tuesday November 2nd ( St John’s Church, Sandbach Heath 1.45 for 2.00 pm) John Higgins will share his research into the Sandbach Heath men who lost their lives in WW1. There will be an opportunity to look around and learn more about the George Gilbert Scott church and its links with local families.

On Tuesday December 7th (Zoom online, 8pm) Dr Craig Horner will speak about “Early Edwardian Motoring”.
