Saturday January 22nd sees the 50th anniversary of the re-enactment of the Battle of Nantwich (1644). Unfortunately the reanactment has been cancelled this year.

However, St Mary’s Church Acton will be open from  9 am till 11.30am serving hot drinks and buttered toast. There will be a talk inside the church at 10.00 am “The Civil War explained “ – speaker Mike Lea.  At 11am there will be a guided walk to view  the battlefields without treading through muddy fields. 

Visitors are requested to wear a face covering inside the church and to use hand sanitiser on entry.  For further information / enquiries contact Stephen Davies 01270 624135.
